It is smaller than the ones I'd seen in the zoo. It was in a ditch when I was driving up (Howell Road,) eating carrion, but it flew away. I got a very good look at him (wish I had a camera on me!) I believe this is the same one I saw two weeks ago in town (Valdosta) trying without success to snag a dead squirrel from the middle of the road.
