Maple Syrup (FIRST Sap Run)

Date: 02/28/2012

Number: 1

Today was the day! We drilled holes in a sugar maple tree. Completely colorless sap flowed from the spile like water coming out of a tap. It was a big, bright, sunny day with a slight breeze. The temperature was about 46 degrees F. In one day we yielded 2 gallons of sap. We wonder how much sap we will collect? Please tell us how much sap you collect each day.
