Robin (First SEEN)

Date: 02/29/2012

Number: 1

First robin is a few days later than last year. Many of you know that early robins will eat fruit you put out but I have also found that they will eat grape jelly and suet. I got my jelly and suet out shortly after my visitor arrived.
As an aside, we have a bald eagle (or pair) that live about 25 miles east of us and I see one frequently when I go that way. Today one was on the ground, near the road, eating some red meat (couldn't tell what it was as I drove by) he had found or placed in a pasture. And for those that are unfamiliar with it, check out the eagle cam at http://www.farmyou.com/falcon_cams/index.html
