Bald Eagle

Date: 02/29/2012

Number: 1

We have had a pair of bald eagles nesting on and around Red Bridge Pond / River for almost ten years now. I have been lucky enough to see them 10-15 times a year. These past few years the sightings increase and this morning at 6:35 I took a short video of the first flight of a young bald eagle which he / she landed on a frozen section of the pond and with some encouragement from one of its parents it flew off to its to its new life among all the other flying feathered friends.
