Today we went out to check the tulip test garden and 6 of our 8 bulbs had emerged from the ground. All but 1 of those 6 were green and pretty easy to see. One was just poking through the ground and was yellow. Two people in our class predicted that the tulips would emerge today, but we know that it was earlier in February becuase Mrs. Austin saw the first one. Most of us said the tulips would not emerge until April but we have had very warm weather this winter and we think that might be why our tulips emerged early. Now we are going to adjust our predictions for the date the tulips will bloom.
