Posted 3 weeks after the observation. Our winter was chillier than usual so it was a surprise to see the little green point. We had mixed crocus in with the tulips and planted them at the same depth. Because those were littler, the students didn't think they would be strong enough to emerge first. As it turned out, both tulips and crocus emerged at virtually the same time. On March 7th, three of the crocus had opened. Now we wait to see when the big, strong tulips will bloom!
