9:30 a.m, Thurs., March 8, 2012: My first sighting of over 30 Red-Winged Blackbirds in the same tree as they appeared last year. The way they were feeding at both mine and my neighbors bird feeders, they were obviously very, very hungry and getting ready for their journey north!
