I'm jealous: one of my neighbors saw a rufous ("Passing through," she said) and I haven't seen one yet this spring. But we have plenty of Anna's and they're very active right now (just like they were last year shortly before the rufous got here). I got a photo of this female Anna's preening in the apple tree outside my window earlier this afternoon.
