This morning, our local crow family have begun scouring the woods for nesting material! I've been watching 3 crows gather pine needles, small twigs and branches and moss, then fly a short distance to a stand of pine trees. One at a time, they fly to a secret spot, wait and watch for a few minutes, and then fly to their new nesting spot! I've had such joy, year after year, watching them build their next and hatch the young! They are right on track again this year..... it's always the middle of March when they start building their new nest. What a joyous "Sign of Spring!"
