Robin (First HEARD singing)

Date: 03/11/2012

Number: 1

One robin singing a spring song today- sounds so strange because it is not a territorial call but the 'cheeri-o cherri-o' song. after lunch many robins have arrived and I don't hear the cheeri-o song but I do hear many 'chirps' that robins use when they are establishing territory... beautiful day today - lots of sun. we had huge flakes of snow on friday but there was less than 1cm accumulating on the ground. the frost is coming out of the ground now and there is mud everywhere but there is still snow in the bush. sap is running very well today
