sap is running again today..sun and clouds..rain on the way tonite..sitting by the fire just before dark..guess what...i can hear the very first woodcock singing by the pond...must have arrived today. saw a black beetle and lots of moths . three barrels of sap to boil. finished 2.5 litres of syrup this am.
