Dr. Fred Helleiner, writing in his weekly bird sightings report for Presqu'ile Provincial Park Ontario, near Brighton, Ontario (located on the north shore of Lake Ontario, opposite Rochester, New York), reports that on March 11th, a record-early common loon was heard calling.
