Possibly saw two large Monarchs went thru yard.
First spotted large Monarch laying eggs in back yard. The butterfly moved to front yard (north side) and found more milkweed and laid eggs.
Then Monarch after brief time in front left yard and continued North.
About 30 minutes later another Monarch was laying eggs on milkweed in backyard, then left in a North. Both Monarchs were nice sizes and strong fliers.
