Tulips EMERGED
Sightings report image

Date: 03/16/2012

Number: 1

Central Montana has had the warmest winter in 10 years. Up until Yesterday, March 19, the snow was almost gone and the grass was starting to turn green. Tulips in 5 different locations were breaking through the topsoil and it was starting to look like spring. Sunday night and all day Monday, March 18th and 19th, Central Montana was under a Winter Storm Warning and a Blizzard Warning. Today the ground has a foot of heavy wet snow covering the ground and it looks like winter returned. Temps are to be in the 50s this week and the snow should melt fast.
