"CLEAR LAKE - Finally!"



"The Clear Water Department has officially declared Clear Lake iced-out. Despite several days of temperatures in the upper 70s this week, stubborn patches of ice at Farmers Beach and State Park kept the lake from being called iced-out until Friday morning.



The lake is said to be iced-out when a boat can run along the entire shoreline of the lake.



The lake was declared iced-in for the season on Dec, 7, 2011.



The lake was iced-out last year on April 4, 2011.



The earliest ice- out on record was March 5, 1931. The latest was April 28, 1951."
