"This probably won't come as surprise after the warm weather we've been having, but all the ice is off Fountain Lake in Albert Lea.



The ice-out was officially declared on Saturday, March 17th. The date ties the record for the earliest ice-out date. That record was set back in 1966.



And there was no shortage of fishing enthusiasts out enjoying the lake. One angler said he's making up for this year's disappointing ice fishing season."
