Today is 01/21/2012. The weather in Louisiana has been more Spring-like than winter this year. Butterflies have been eclosing from chrysalis almost daily. These butterflies came from adult females who laid eggs on milkweed plants in my gardens in 2011. I have had 16 butterflies eclose, 4 males and the remainder females. I have another 11 chrysalis in my emergence cage.
