Monarch (OTHER Observations)
Sightings report image

Date: 03/21/2012

Number: 1

Saw a male monarch nectaring on our large chinaberry tree (Melia azedarach), which has just begun to bloom. The spring blossoms on the chinaberry tree are always a monarch favorite. It is a sunny day about 65 degrees F at 5pm. Yesterday a coldfront came though dropping temps to the 50's and giving us 2 inches of rain. The monarch has been nectaring for about 30 minutes going from bloom to bloom.
