I live in northern Virginia. For the first time that I've seen, the robins did not migrate south this winter, but have been doing very well all winter. About three weeks ago (March 1, 2012), I saw literally hundreds of robins in a near-by open field. I assume a lot of them had stopped off here on their journey north.
