One of the remigrants we have been observing the past two weeks in our pasture 70 miles ESE of San Antonio. This one was especially faded and tattered. Fantastic wildflowers and much milkweed, what a wonder a little (over ten inches over three months) of rain will do for a pasture. The monarchs are passing thru generally between N and NNE and there are many eggs but no loading so far ... but there are thousands of milkweed plants!
