Staff at the Virginia Living Museum report that the first Journey North tulips planted in the museum's Children's Learning Garden by museum Education staff bloomed today. The only plants and blooms visible right now are the tulips because the CLG is undergoing renovation. The Children’s Learning Garden began with Journey North tulips planted in Fall 1998.
Though all 3 batches of tulips were planted within 3 days of each other, it's taken a full week for the first tulip to bloom in each batch. Many are still in bud.
