I have seen 2 monarchs this past week! First one on the 22nd.

How sure am I that it was a monarch (and not Viceroy or other look-alike)? Seems like viceroys come after monarchs around here. The one I tried following never did land very long where I could get a great look at it nor opened up when it was landed.
Then another like it fluttered by it & was up & away. On a scale of 1-10, I’m going with an 8.
