Just one day after seeing our first robin, we heard the beautiful song of the male who has claimed our yard as his territory. In fact, as I stood on the deck listening to him, I could hear 3 or 4 other voices in the neighbourhood. Two weeks later, the whole population seems to be back with lots of singing and fighting.
