March 26 bachelor party of over 30 silent American Robins spent a few minutes in my yard, flying in from the north! Sunned a bit in the treetops, ignored neighbour's withered crab-apples , and moved on. A few foraged few minutes among the Dark-eyed Juncos on the frozen ground. Not the first seen, but earlier single birds were probably over-wintering.
Right now, March 29, in sleety rain one bird is scolding in indignant Robinese.
