Our final tulip bloomed! We now have about 500 tulips in bloom here at Mechanics Grove School in Mundelein. It has been really exciting to see the movement of the blossoms in out microclimate. We can only hope that the threat of frost tonight remains that-a threat. If there is a hard freeze, it may be very unfortunate for our tulips. The community has commented on how lovely our school looks with the sea of red around it. We can only hope that our distance from the lake will give some support to us!
