Late yesterday (04/04) a couple of Purple Finch showed up at our feeders. This morning on the way home I saw a Merlin a couple of miles south of our place and there was a Common Goldeneye duck at the community water reservoir just down the road from us.
But with the weather things will probably slow down for a few days. It's snowing right now and the weather man predicts snow for today and part of tomorrow.
April 5
The Juncos returned, with them came a half dozen Tree Sparrows, two Purple Finch and one House Finch.
The House Finch is a new bird for me. They don't normally come this far north. This is the first one I have seen, in my life.
