Saw my first ruby-throat hummingbird at my feeder April 5, have been expecting them before now as we had an early spring and red buckeye has been in bloom for a couple of weeks at least. I normally see the first one soon after the red buck-eye comes into bloom.Still this is earlier than I usually see them in the spring. My brother saw one about 2 weeks ago at his feeder. He lives about 1/2 mile from me.
