In the MLMP@CNC milkweed patch (Cibolo Nature Center),78 A. asperula were found and contained 27 eggs, 5 first instars, and 3 third instars. There were multiple monarchs on some plants: 3 eggs on same plant, 2 eggs on (other) same plant, 2 eggs AND 2 third instars on same plant, and 1 egg and 1 first instar on (other) same plant.
