brief sighting of a male ruby at 4 pm on my front porch feeder. unfortunately, the air temp has cooled considerably the past few days here in north Raleigh. he may have been merely testing to make sure the feeders are back in place. i have been feeding in the same places for about 10 years. i will be taking the feeders in at night to warm the nectar until the weather improves.
