The children discovered about 10-12 caterpillars on our milkweed in the garden ...we are very excited...

Please find attached photo of our newest friend....taken 4/13/12 at the Children's Garden which is on the Emerald Coast Center for Seniors property.

Here are 2 pictures of the children helping to move the caterpillars from one milkweed plant to another...the milkweed in one of the garden beds was covered in caterpillars and the other plant in another bed did not have very many, so the children wanted to move some and so we let them very carefully hold them on a leaf and wait until they attached to another leaf on the other garden bed's milkweed.

The first picture is of Sophia, it is her birthday...she got to move the first caterpillar...

A picture of our garden beds...milkweed plants are in the two in the far back...the rest of the beds are mostly Florida wildflowers so the butterflies have something to eat.
