All Other Signs of Spring

Date: 04/15/2012

Number: 1

This sighting was approximately 5 PM. there was 2 flocks, 1 directly behind the other. approximately 100 Whooping Craines total. I first thought they were Sand Hill Craines, but then they set their wings and circled to the right, with the sun shining directly on their backs, you could plainely see
their Snow White color with Black wing tips. We had some really bad weather, with Tornadoes the night of the 14, and the wind was still blowing very strong that day out of the South West.
I have a feeling they were blown off their Migration Route.
We have seen Sand Hill Craines before but not Whoopers.
