As I stood outside by a planter near my feeder,I heard a loud buzzing and my first thought was that I didn't want to see the insect that it belonged to. I quickly recognized the sound, though, and turned to see a red-throated male about two feet from my head. He evidently didn't like my being there and flew off. I've been waiting for them for a month!
