This is the 12th year I've had a Test garden. My tulips bloomed this unusual spring on April 17. This is the second earliest bloom date. The earliest was April 15, 2010. The latest bloom date for the past 12 years was May 9, 2003. The tulips have perfect form and the flowers are open on long stems this year.
