Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 04/13/2012

Number: 1

Was gardening when I heard the familiar 'buzz', looked around and the little male had come back to the exact place my feeder was hanging last year. I quickly made up some food, put my feeders out and now several males are buzzing the garden during the days. They stop for a 'nightcap' just before dark. I actively garden specifically for hummers and butterflies, so there are a number of attractive plants for the hummers even before the feeders get placed in the garden.
