While out collecting milkweed for our larvae at home (grown from eggs collected on the 6th, 13th, 16th, 19th, and 20th of April) we found our first larvae in the field- 4 first instars and 1 second instar. The second instar and one of the first instars were left in the field, while the other three first instars were brought home.
