My friend Rachael Lowman and I took another survey of the A. syriaca milkweed patch in Austin Springs, Washington County, TN. The following is our report:

2nd survey of Milkweed patch-conducted 13 April 2012

Notes:

We made a survey of the same area on 6 April 2012 and collected 16 eggs and 3 milkweed plants.

There were no larvae found, but we found signs of feeding and 11 of the eggs collected on 6 April have hatched.

We collected 6 eggs on this trip, 4 for me and 2 for Rachael Lowman.
