Five tulips bloomed far ahead of the rest. Soon the patch was ablaze with scarlet. After unseasonably warm weather that brought the earlier than usual flowers, frequent frosts caused them to droop. They bounced back for a beautiful showing. Now, one lonely bloom is left.
