The Barn Swallows arrived and started building their nests on 4/17/12. They are building in a location that they use year after year. This week I counted 10 nests under active construction in the east facing eves of our Dining Hall Building. The dining hall was painted last Fall. The picture shows one week of work. We are at 8000 ft elevation next to a large meadow at the East end of the San Bernardino Mountains.
