the vet says it's warm enough... so I am picking up a couple of painted turtles that were overwintered at the turtle hospital in Peterborough- yes, two miskwaadesis are going home- and one of them is taking two of her babies with her- yippee!!!. both turtles were hit by cars last summer, but were rehabilitated through the winter (I am the wednesday worm feeder!!). the paintd turtles in my pond have been out sunning on logs on sunny days. we have already taken in several painted turtles and two medium sized snapping turtles who have lost encounters with cars...
