Early monarch activity continued for a second afternoon in our butterfly garden. In about an hour of observation, 11 monarchs were noted nectaring on allium and dame's rocket flowers. The activity was quite different from the early visits in previous years when one or two monarchs seemed to be the limit of first visitors.
