Some of our tulips have double or even triple stems! We've noticed that the black color on the petals wasn't there at first, but then it was visible. Some tulips emerged, but never bloomed. It is now 5/3/12 and many petals have fallen off of our tulips. We observed the petals opening up when it was warm and sunny and closing when it was cold and rainy. We looked at the petals close up and noticed the pattern texture which was very cool! We think they are beautiful and they smell nice like a fresh garden! The colors, especially the yellow base of the petals are very vibrant!
