Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/03/2012

Number: 1

Spotted two single Monarchs today, about a half mile apart and an hour apart, so possibly the same one. First one was flying along the road as if searching for milkweed, but could not verify that it was a female. Looked to be in good shape, good color. Have had two milkweed plants by the garage so will watch them closely for signs of eggs or butterflies. Also spotted my first milkweed on the back hill, four inch shoots at the base of a healthy swamp milkweed.
