While riding my bike with my dog on what I like to call "The Wizard of Oz path" off Dell Road near Valley View Road, I saw my first Monarch of this year. We turned a corner and it flew along with us for awhile, eventually landing on a dandelion. I couldn't tell if it was a male or female, but it was in very good shape and flying strong.
