Hummingbird, Other Species Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 05/03/2012

Number: 1

The garden is abuzz with hummingbirds, but the female Anna's which, were plentiful last winter, have almost disappeared (I saw only one this week. Male Anna's are very common, however. So are female rufous. One male rufous is a regular visitor but comes mostly before dusk. Tonight he came so late that the setting sun was barely strong enough to light up his gorget.
