Monarch Egg (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/03/2012

Number: 1

Our first monarch was a brightly colored female who seemed to have only one thing in mind .... find milkweed and lay eggs! She made several passes through our milkweed patch and then started placing her eggs. Most made it onto the underside of leaves .... but a few ended on leaf tops or stalks. She went about her job with great enthusiasm and provided us with a reason to take a break and enjoy our visitor!
