Barn Swallow (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/05/2012

Number: 1

Afternoon of 5-5-12 two swallows returned to the horse stall. We only have one pair that nest each year. They normally raise two sets of fledglings each year before leaving. These swallows must be the decendants of the first pair that nested in the barn. Very interesting how they can return to the same nest each year.
