Oops. I made an error. I reported seeing the Monarch Butterfly in Brandon, Manitoba,
Canada yesterday (May 6/12). Since I am a novice at butterfly watching I made a mistaken identity. Rather than seeing a group of Monarch Butterflies they were the Red Admiral. Pigmentation is similar but colour patterns are significantly different.
