Since my last report I am seeing lots of monarch caterpillars eating my plentiful butterfly weed. Almost everytime I step out side I see several monarchs flying in my yard and nectaring or laying eggs on milkweed in my yard. I have over 50 butterfly weed plants that have leaves that show signs of caterpillars eating them. I am allowing new butterfly weed seedlings that spring up in my yard to grow to maturation by carefully mowing around them myself.
