Milkweed shoots spotted this morning are 3 inches tall. Monarchs are reported to be in Grand Forks, ND at this point (2 hours away from Winnipeg), so we hope the milkweed will sustain the eggs when they arrive here. Looks like it'll be a very early arrival for monarchs - earliest I've seen in 15 years of observations.
