Although we found several eggs in 3 different yards earlier in the week, May 4th was the first day that we saw adult Monarch butterflies. 2 males, 1 female. All were bright and fresh, no tattered wings. Monarchs don't usually appear until later in June, despite my extensive host/nectar plant filled gardens.
